I’m so happy to be able to share the work of several of my favorite floral designers with you this week. I hope you’re finding the work as inspiring as I am! Today we have designs by JM Flora. I asked Janie to send me something pretty and pink and she couldn’t have sent anything more lovely than this batch of posies.

Brett + Bowen

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Brett and Bowen were married June 6 at at Pomona College in Claremont, California. They’d planned an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception. And, although the weather had other plans, causing their celebration to move indoors, it’s evident that rainy weather had nothing on the beauty of their celebration.

“I have never been so anxious in my life… not about getting married, but the weather! We picked a wedding in Southern California in June specifically so we wouldn’t have to worry about the weather, but something crazy happened and we had record rainfall and low temperatures that whole weekend. “

“In the end, though, none of that really mattered. We were there with all of our friends and family and the toasts, the food, and especially the massive dance party were so much fun! It’s really quite sad, though, how little time it actually ends up being and how fast it all goes. There are so many things neither of us can remember (‘Did the DJ play that song? Did we ever get to talk to your uncle?’) because it all just went by so fast.” I think that’s a feeling many of us brides can relate to, right?

“Three words that describe our wedding: festive, relaxed, FUN!”

Bowen described her inspiration for her wedding day as “Vintage / Mexican fiesta / Southern California / relaxed and festive / blues, greens, and oranges.”

Bouquets and boutonnières were designed by Courtney at Flush Designs.

Bowen took on lots of D.I.Y. projects from reception centerpieces, to recipe book favors in stamped muslin bags, to homebaked cookies favors in sewn wax bags.

Thank you so much Brett and Bowen for sharing your wedding day with us! And a big, big thank you to Erin Hearts Court for sending little white book these beautiful images!
