colorful fun happy table

Pink, orange and yellow are perennially pretty party colors, but the addition of red, in this table designed by Gen Sohr for Southern Living, is incredible! The wallpaper Sohr used as a runner is brilliant as well! To see more, visit Gen’s blog.

As we prep for this weekend’s wedding, it’s fun to look back at the inspiration we gathered for it!

richmond wedding wednesdays: tuckahoe plantation

I’ve always thought it would be so much fun to plan a small wedding or engagement party at Tuckahoe Plantation’s stable. Before the thought of hosting a party in a stable turns you completely off, rest assured the stable is no longer a working stable. It has beautiful wide plank wooden beam floors, a large lawn in front (perfect for oyster roasts or s’mores), and plenty of rustic charm.

Richmond Wedding Wednesdays #30: A wedding at home

There’s nothing more that I like than the idea of a wedding at home. While a wedding of this sort would have its own set of unique challenges (parking, for instance), there’s a lot of freedom in an at home wedding that you don’t always find at a rented venue (you can set up your tables in just about any ol’ way you’d like, wouldn’t have to worry about strict set-up and take-down times, and you wouldn’t necessarily have to go through a licensed baker for all of your sweet treats!). Perhaps you might borrow a tradition from this couple, whose wedding was featured on Snippet & Ink, and ask a few special women in your life to bring a baked good?
