Shop the look at Revel
Have you visited Revel yet? It’s a new blog from the girls at 57 Grand, and today I’m contributing a shop the look story based on Katie and Max’s wedding. Shop the look is like an interactive inspiration board. You can click on the images to purchase the item pictured or one that’s very similar. I hope you’ll stop by today to check it out!
Katie & max in Southern Weddings V4
We had so much fun working on Katie and Max’s wedding, and we’re just loving seeing it in print in Southern Weddings. We’ll save the details behind this backyard affair until later in the year when we do a full post with some of our favorite images captured by Jodi Miller Photography. In the meantime, see more over here in their gallery.

richmond wedding wednesdays: amuse restaurant at vmfa
There are so many ways you could design a really beautiful, modern reception at Amuse Restaurant at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. This week, though, it’s all about fun. A short modern dress. Maybe a smile booth? Jonathan Adler salt and pepper shakers as cake toppers. Bright yellow pomanders. And a sleek cocktail party for, oh, about 150.*
Sweet ways to accessorize this event in Richmond…

Ruby Press Bridal Soiree

I came across these images last night while organizing my inspiration files and fell in love with them all over again. They’re from the Ruby Press Bridal Soiree held last May. The color palette is so striking. Since I have Halloween on my mind right now – I’m working on a charity Halloween event – I automatically thought that this palette would be really lovely for a modern Halloween party. But it lends itself to so many events. Wouldn’t it be a beautiful palette for a bridal shower or even a baby shower too?
