What to serve for brunch in Richmond
Brunch: the perfect meal to serve for baby showers, bridal showers, baptisms, and on wedding days. If you’re planning a brunch in Richmond, you’re in luck, we have so many wonderful bakeries and gourmet markets, you’ll have to do no more than plate and present. Below are a few of my favorite local brunch treats that can be ordered in large quantities in advance (and some deliver!).
-Quiche or croissants from Sub Rosa Bakery (Let’s take a moment to give thanks for Sub Rosa’s chocolate croissants. Lord have mercy.)
-Smoked gouda pimento cheese from Mosaic (serve with Ritz, of course)
-Pretty canapés from Everyday Gourmet
–Cuisine a la Carte’s classic chicken salad on rosemary-raisin crackers from Yellow Umbrella
-Shrimp and crab cheese ball from Bon Air Seafood (serve with club crackers)
-A donut “cake” from Sugar Shack (Basically a gigantic donut. Crowd. Pleaser.)
-Maroulosalata (a yummy salad of lettuce, dill, lemon, feta, scallion, olive oil and vinegar), Spanakopita, or a cheese and charcuterie platter from Stella’s Grocery
-Macarons from Sweet Fix Bakery
Throw together a quick fruit salad, a pitcher of mimosas and fill a drink decanter with iced water and cucumber slices, and brunch is served!
