baby it’s hot outside

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

The stifling heat and humidity of Virginia is settling in, and 100 degree days are becoming the norm. A few weeks ago, we served auguas frescas {a yummy combination of fresh fruit, water and ice} to thirsty wedding guests. Lemonade is always a classic summer drink, but everyone was delighted to try something new. Mosaic concocted flavors like strawberry thyme, tangerine mint and watermelon cantaloupe…divine. So often we pay attention to the drinks being served during cocktail hour and dinner, but if you’re exchanging vows outdoors during the summer, consider offering something refreshing and cool to thirsty guests when they arrive at your ceremony site.

This is such a good idea. They say that during the summer months, the two things you should always provide your guests with plenty of is water and shade. This is just a cute way to jazz it up! Yum!

Tangerine mint sounds soooo refreshing! I can just see these recipes served in mason jars or martini glasses…yum.

Love your post! I'll have to suggest the idea to future customers. It's also nice to do something different like this instead of the same old cookie cutter weddings.

The photos is just as lovely as the beverage, itself. Such a nice alternative to soda or heavy juices when it’s so so sweaty out there!
